Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and client-focused Sales Representative to do inside and outside sales for luxury to-the-trade furniture showroom in Chicago. This role combines in-showroom expertise with proactive outside sales responsibilities. As a trusted resource and brand ambassador, you’ll deliver tailored design solutions, cultivate strong client relationships, and drive sales through a blend of in-person consultations, showroom experiences, and strategic outreach. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a design-driven, relationship-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
• Welcome and assist showroom clients including interior designers, architects, builders, and trade professionals.
• Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships through attentive service and expert consultation.
• Schedule and manage in-showroom appointments, outside appointments, walkthroughs, and design presentations.
• Host showroom events and collaborate on presentations to enhance the client experience.
Sales & Business Development
• Achieve and exceed individual and showroom sales goals by providing solutions tailored to each client’s project and extraordinary customer service.
• Identify sales opportunities and offer comprehensive, project-based solutions.
• Actively contribute to showroom traffic, sales and visibility through client outreach, networking, and local industry engagement.
• Build up the current book of business through field visits, targeted outreach, and offsite client consultations.
Product Expertise & Presentation
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of our curated collection of luxury furnishings, including materials, finishes, and customization options.
• Guide clients through product selection, offering thoughtful and functional design insight.
• Deliver high-touch, customized presentations aligned with client needs and project goals.

Job Requirements

Administrative & Client Support
• Keep accurate and up-to-date CRM records, sales quotes, and client communications.
• Work with vendors and our internal team to ensure efficient order processing, tracking, and client follow-up.
• Monitor project timelines and maintain clear communication to ensure a seamless experience from first consultation to final delivery.

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of sales or administrative experience in a luxury showroom, high-end retail, or interior design environment preferred
• Strong working knowledge of design principles, space planning, and custom furniture.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant sales or design software.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable managing multiple client projects and deadlines.

Preferred Background:
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience in a luxury to-the-trade showroom or premium furnishings brand.
• Familiarity with outside sales processes, custom product specs, and design documentation.
• Established book of business in the interior design world
