Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a talented Intermediate Interior Designer who can work independently across all phases of design. This role calls for someone with a strong sensibility for interiors and architecture, able to move fluidly between concept development, technical documentation, and on-site execution.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and self-sufficient—comfortable developing interiors that align with architectural intent while producing high-quality drawings, specifications, and presentations. This is a position for a designer who thrives on both creative exploration and technical precision, and who enjoys seeing projects evolve from early ideas to built environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine interiors concepts in close collaboration with the architecture team.
• Produce presentation materials, renderings, and drawings that clearly communicate design intent.
• Create and coordinate interior documentation, including millwork details, finishes, furniture layouts, and schedules.
• Source, evaluate, and specify FF&E, materials, and finishes; coordinate with vendors and suppliers.
• Participate in client presentations, showroom visits, and design reviews.
• Support project execution through site visits, punch lists, and installation oversight.
• Ensure interiors seamlessly integrate with architectural design and construction requirements.
• Oversee on-site installations and coordinate final styling and photoshoots.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in high-end residential, retail, or hospitality interior design.
• Degree in Interior Design or Architecture; Master’s degree considered but not required.
• Strong design sensibility and the ability to translate concepts into built design.
• Proficiency in Rhino, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite; fluency in Revit preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to produce complete design drawing sets and detailed interiors documentation.
• Strong knowledge of furniture brands, manufacturers, and the full FF&E procurement cycle.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; dependable and self-sufficient in managing interiors deliverables.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work in person in New York City.

Site Presence & Mobility

This role requires active involvement during construction and installation phases, including site visits, vendor meetings, and walkthroughs. Candidates should be comfortable navigating active job sites and traveling across New York City to support multiple projects.
