In the BOH series What I Love, we’re asking designers to build us a mood board of what’s inspiring them right now.

Martyn Lawrence Bullard needs no introduction. The Los Angeles designer’s work has graced countless magazine covers and adorned the homes of A-listers ranging from Cher to Kylie Jenner, RuPaul and Gwen Stefani.
Beloved for his bold, high-contrast interiors, Bullard curated his current mood board with the warm tones of autumn in mind. “Black-and-white has always been a signature of mine, but I currently love to add the warmth of chocolate brown, caramel, golden umber and brass tones into the mix to create a timeless, comfortable and chic environment,” he tells Business of Home.
The final scheme is a maximalist wonderland, brimming with charismatic pieces and glittering touches, including a brass bath tub and a solid marble floor lamp with built-in side table. “My selection for this flat lay is all about pattern, texture, comfort and, as always, glamour!” he says.
Here, Bullard breaks down the details, from a state-of-the-art turntable to a machine-washable rug.
