On September 10, Thibaut welcomed design clients, industry friends and members of the media to celebrate its new Manhattan flagship showroom in the New York Design Center.
Firms in attendance at the celebratory event included Aero Studios, BIA Interiors, ECC Interiors, Hess Interiors, Studio Sofield and Zimmerman Workshop. Joining them at the fete were such notable members of the media as Luxe Interiors + Design editor in chief Jill Cohen, Business of Home editor in chief Kaitlin Petersen and Elle Decor editor Sean Kim.
“We are thrilled to open our doors in such a prestigious design building here in New York,” said Thibaut CEO Rick Kilmer. “We are nearing 140 years in business, and it all started just a few blocks down the road from the NYDC. We are honored to raise a glass and welcome our clients here tonight to commemorate this next chapter in our storied history—one that we believe sets up the Thibaut family of brands for foundational growth.”
The new space on the building’s eighth floor, created in partnership with interior designer and architect David Frazier, reveals the company’s innovative showroom concept. Among other features, it uses archways as well as custom finishes and millwork to guide shoppers through the distinctive offerings of the various brands. Boasting 4,200 square feet, the showroom presents exclusive wallcoverings, fabrics, trimmings, rugs and furniture from Thibaut, Anna French, Coraggio and Armani/Casa Wallcoverings. The larger footprint and visitor-friendly concept—coupled with the expanded designer audience that a showroom at the NYDC delivers to all its resident brands—enables the acclaimed wallcovering and textile company to present a more meaningful and cohesive collection of its evolving portfolio of products.
