On Tuesday, September 9, to celebrate its fall collection at its New York showroom on West 21st Street, TileBar hosted an exclusive preview for the design community. The fete followed an engaging panel discussion moderated by Adrian Madlener, freelance design writer and contributor to Architectural Digest, AN Interior and Dwell. Participating panelists included founding principal at JAM Megan Prime, principal at Ovadia Design Group Jack Ovadia, Barry Bordelon and Jordan Slocum of The Brownstone Boys, and TileBar EVP of national and strategic account Nancy Burns. The discussion highlighted the relevance of TileBar’s debuts; emerging design trends for the season; and tips for incorporating colors, textures and materials into residential and commercial spaces.
“We couldn’t be more proud of the success of our fall collection preview,” said TileBar CEO Ira Melnitsky. “Bringing together such a dynamic group of design leaders alongside our newest launches was an incredible way to celebrate what makes TileBar unique—pushing the boundaries of timeless materials. This collection is a true reflection of our commitment to innovation and collaboration, and the enthusiasm we saw at the event reinforces how excited the design community is to bring these products into their work this season.”
The event brought together more than 50 guests, including Keith Baltimore of Baltimore Design; Niki Broyn of Nikibi Design; Julie Faiber of KG+D Architects; Peter Guelle and Gaby Niemeier of BG Studio; Virginia Guillian of Lefroy Brooks; Lawrence Lambert, architect for New York County District Attorney’s Office; Mimi Levitan of MJL Design Group; Mackenzie McCrane of Curtis + Ginsberg Architects; Instagram influencer Kristen Dal Cortivo of @oliveinjc; Angelina Torres of Ovadia Design Group; and Bridget Shelton, Jessica Leykum and Morgan Miller of Sherwin-Williams.
Joining Melnitsky from TileBar leadership for the event were chief marketing and product officer Andrea Bozeman, EVP of retail Steve Gewirtz, vice president of marketing Steph Pandey, senior architectural and design representative John Tudisco, and senior manager of retail marketing Jessica Ritchie.
The occasion underscored the beauty of timeless materials through unexpected applications of color, texture and form. TileBar showcased its new designs through curated vignettes featuring sunbaked terra cotta in new artisanal finishes and statement marbles with dramatic veining in commanding hues. The fall collection, which launches in drops now through November, is punctuated by standout designer collaborations, including the Opera collection by Paula Purroy and Radius by Stacy Garcia. As an invitation for designers to update their own libraries, a dedicated sample bar provided a tactile experience for the party guests.
