Barta Interiors Inc. is looking for either position, an experienced RESIDENTIAL Senior interior designer AND/OR an interior architect or architect that can join our team.
SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER: Duties will include fabric and furniture selections, material sourcing, site & client meetings, general project management and assisting with all aspects of an interior design project such as joining client meetings and site walk throughs and participate in project installations. Other important duties that you need strong skills for (outside of project management) is architectural drafting. This will include drafting kitchen and bath cabinetry, ceiling decorative treatments and tile layouts in AutoCAD.
INTERIOR ARCHITECT OR ARCHITECT: Duties will include site & client meetings and general architectural design and drafting. This will include drafting kitchen and bath cabinetry, millwork and all aspects of interior architectural design and selections such as baseboard, crown moulding and ceiling decorative treatments and tile layouts in AutoCAD.
This job will be in person in our office in Culver City and does not start until after November 1st-15th. We are moving into a new office space around this time and the position will not start until then.
SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER:
Design & Drafting - Work in AutoCAD to draft floor plans, elevations, cabinetry, tile design.
Office Management - maintaining day to day operations of office (including creating PO's, sending in vendor payment, returning calls and emails, mail, keeping up with office supplies, etc).
Participating in Site Meetings and Client Meetings
Shopping in designer showrooms for fabrics, furniture, lighting and accessories.
General organizational skills (filing, recycling, etc)
Coordinating Installation Details for multiple projects (scheduling vendors and subcontractors)
Assisting with on-site installs and photo shoots
Experience with Designer software (Studio Designer)
Excellent verbal & written communication skills with clients/vendors
Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
Google Suite
Adobe (Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign)
Library management – maintain and organize fabrics and finish sample library.
Purchasing and Follow Up for multiple projects
Sending checks/payments out to vendors
Sending and dropping items off to Fed Ex, UPS, USPS
Reliable transportation as the position will involve driving to job sites, pick up & drop off of samples
5-7+ years of Interior Design work in a RESIDENTIAL Interior Design office and have managed projects from start to finish for more than 5 years
INTERIOR ARCHITECT OR ARCHITECT:
Design & Drafting - Work in AutoCAD to draft floor plans, elevations, cabinetry, tile design, millwork, custom furniture and design sections.
3D rendering capabilities a plus but not required
Office Management - Returning calls and emails, mail, etc.
Participating in Site Meetings and Client Meetings
Sourcing of architectural components such as millwork, hardware, doors and windows.
General organizational skills
3-5+ years of working as an interior architect or interiors
Microsoft Office
Google Suite
Adobe InDesign/Photoshop

We are a high end luxury interior design firm that do ground up construction projects mainly in Los Angeles and occasionally in NYC, CT, Aspen and Santa Barbara. We are heavily focused in architectural design and the interiors down to custom furnishings.
